Legend is merely a story that is popularly regarded as historical but not authenticated. Whether it originated on the internet or during the middle ages makes little difference. It is used to illustrate a point.

As for the waterboarding, the point it was illustrating is that truth is something we seek when we want it ‘badly’, because only then will we truly appreciate and live according to the answers.

A 10 year old isn’t asking about the meaning of life, and if they did, they’d go about their business of playing video games and riding their bicycles all the same.
